Attention and Perception

Some researchers say that we perceive only one object at a time! Choosing an object from the visual scene for in-depth processing is achieved by selective attention and eye movements. Our research group is interested in the mechanisms that control attentional selection and the interaction between attention and action. Our preferred method is psychophysics, the description of the relationship between a stimulus and its perception. Further, we measure eye and hand movements, as well as electrical potentials over the scalp.
